Where healthy ageing meets a healthy planet
The World Ageing and Environment Forum (WAEF) is an international forum organized by the World Ageing Council. It brings together policymakers, scientists, cities, civil society and older persons to address how environmental change shapes the way we age — and how every generation can protect the planet together.

Two global transitions, one agenda
The world is ageing and the climate is changing at the same time. Older persons are among the most exposed to heat waves, air pollution and disasters — and they also carry the experience, time and commitment that sustainable communities need.
WAEF connects the healthy ageing agenda with environmental sustainability, in line with the UN Decade of Healthy Ageing (2021–2030) and the Sustainable Development Goals.
